"Discover the export potential in the Mediterranean!"

The Go MED project, which is funded under the INTERREG Va Slovenia- Austria program, has set itself the goal of providing increased support to small and medium- sized enterprises (SMEs) from Austria and Slovenia in their internationalization to the Mediterranean region within three years.

 

Export- oriented SMEs from all sectors located in the program area can apply for the Go MED pilot program. In this tailor-made qualification program, 40 selected SMEs from Austria and Slovenia will be equipped with the necessary know- how to actively exploit the export potential in the Mediterranean region for their own company.

This toolbox is developed according to the needs of Austrian and Slovenian companies to support them in exporting to the Mediterranean region. In addition to the preparation of an export business plan and individual consultations, targeted networking events and delegation trips to countries in the Mediterranean region are also offered.

In order to benefit from this project in the longer term, the successfully developed support structures will be further expanded and intensively used after the end of the project.

Export potential Mediterranean

The goMED project, funded under the INTEREG Va Slovenia-Austria program, supported companies from Slovenia and Austria in their internationalization in the Mediterranean region. Two companies, which are also partners in the project, were involved in accompanying the process of entering a new market: Lotrič Meroslovje d.o.o. from Slovenia and Ortner Lüftungs- und Klimaanlagen GmbH from Austria.

The aim of the project is to support Austrian and Slovenian SMEs from all sectors in the program area and to provide individual consulting.

Companies that are part of this project:

• Receive support in finding cooperation partners in Slovenia
• Participate in targeted networking events with Slovenian companies
• Receive further training on the topic of export within the framework of the "Export Academy
• Are coached and supported on the topic of export
• The project does not provide immediate financial assistance, but initiates a process. Internationalization requires good preparations: Learning, time and financial planning, and workforce involvement. It is important to get a picture of the current state and needs of the company.
