"Clean Development in Cleanroom Technology"

Cleanroom technology is a crucial component of the high-tech industry, characterized by its complexity and close collaboration between industry, SMEs, and suppliers. It offers not only significant development opportunities for businesses but also remarkable career opportunities for employees. Today, almost all products must be manufactured under absolutely clean conditions, making cleanroom technology indispensable in a variety of industries. Examples include food production, plastics and automotive industries, aerospace, laboratories, high-security laboratories, medicine, nursing, mechanical engineering, and textile industry.

A challenge in this field is the significant differences in cleanroom requirements across various industries. While microelectronics primarily focus on microscopic particles, the pharmaceutical and medical sectors concentrate almost exclusively on viruses, bacteria, and microbial pathogens.

Ortner Cleanroom Technology has established itself internationally as a leader in innovation. Senior director Josef Ortner emphasizes the importance of further development in the Alpine-Adriatic region to promote economic strength in electronics and microelectronics and to harness synergy potentials.

The 'Vehicle Philosophy' aims to train SMEs, start-ups, and service providers in cleanroom technology and position them as sub-partners of established companies. About 40 years ago, Josef Ortner began planning and constructing cleanrooms for microelectronics and later expanded the company to include a division in apparatus construction.
